Great Hamburgers in Acadiana

Great hamburgers are a passion of mine. I eat them everyday. I now wait for emails from local Acadiana residents telling me who, what, when, and where the favorites are. I then reach out to the local hamburger chef asking them about their burger. I ask them what they like most about their burger. After hearing what the chef wants I try to capture their words with a picture. Showing the public the greats, from the character of the great chefs making them daily. I want to personally thank everyone for embracing AcadianaHamburger.com as their local area for great hamburgers in Lafayette, Jennings, Rayne, Crowley, Scott, Opelousas, and sometimes New Orleans. We will continue to bring you great meat and great burger history in the up and coming months. And remember to let people know about us, yes we are free for the love of burgermaking, but we would be nothing without the great vocal assistance of the great people of Acadiana. Thankyou! Hamburgers, Hamburgers, Hamburgers

I did not know what to expect when I started eating all of these hamburgers for local business owners in Acadiana. It has been a great deal of happiness to meet the people who have been making some of the best hamburgers in the US. This project was started because I have eaten a hamburger basically everyday since I was about 7 years of age. After to moving to Lafayette, LA in 1998 I immediately realized I was in hamburger heaven. There are so many hamburgers in the Acadiana area. And even better some of the best hamburgers I have ever had a chance to meet. Hamburgers for many people are a passion. People will always express what they feel "is the best burger" here. Everywhere I walk in Lafayette I see an advertisement for the best hamburger. After eating so many of them, I agree. But can there really be this many burgers that achieve greatness in one area? After eating already 40 of them in three weeks I have to say these advertisements you see should all be taken seriously. Every burger maker in the Acadiana area takes their burger making seriously. (Cooking in general) And after eating so many I know there is an art to making them as well as to eating them. So now, 12 years later, making Lafayette, LA my home; I decided to create a place where some of the best burgers I have tried in this area can be seen. And out of respect for the great Acadiana cook, I decided to give something back. And yes at no charge. I have told my mother for years a hamburger is the best food one can eat: All four food groups in one. (That was usually to get her off my back about eating so many) So I invite you to experience some of the best burgers the Acadiana area has to offer. Please visit AcadianaHamburger.com any time you are looking for lunch, or something different that you feel you should try in the burger area. And I'll keep eating them so there will always be a new pages coming. If you are visiting Lafayette, LA in the future and are in the mood for a great burger check us out. Please feel free to tell us your story about the burger you may have tried from the site and where you are from. And burger makers let us be your trophy to let the public know where a picture of your burger is to entice them to come in to your restaurant.

Baja Sports Grill

Baja Homerun Burger - This burger is very simple and quite filling. I would say just stopping in and giving it a bite you would be quite pleased. But the real story behind the burgers at Baja Sports Grill are the numbers of interesting things that go into each burger. 1. The meat at Baja is ran through a grinder and made fresh. 2. The french bread is from local Lafayette, La bakery Langlinais. And even though it's a side the home-made onion rings are top-notch. I would have to say that this is one of the best lunch burgers in Acadiana. Simple, filling, (but not too much) and made fresh.

Acadiana's Hungry?

The first vote for the best hamburger is Ground Patti on Johnston Street in Lafayette, LA. The particular burger is the 6oz with cheese. Shredded cheese, 6oz patti, spear pickle, served with fries, the bun is very simple and does not crumble in your hands, the bun is also always soft to the touch and is not too over-sized for the meat. This makes alot of sense because not many people want to feel like they are eating just bread. I would say that use a hint of pepper on their patti. And they know when to add the shredded cheese to the burger so it is not completely melted when it gets to you. I give Ground Patti on Johnston Street an A. Disagree? let us know what your favorite acadiana hamburger is?
